project description
The two-storied atrium-like building has a size of 30x40m. The public wing is a reinforced concrete construction with widely spanned hollow plank-ceiling respectively element-ceiling, the room section is a precast concrete-skeleton construction with brick-and-stud-work in the exterior walls.
The section facing the driveway features an underground level (technical equipment, storage-room and staff-dressing room) designed as a “white tank”. Above it are located the administration-offices, dining room and kitchen-area. Upstairs one finds the social welfare-office (separate access via external staircase) as well as a café with a terrace. The three remaining sections contain the rooms, a bridge on the upper floor serving as a rainproof connection between them. A reinforced concrete chapel has been built in the patio.
