Structural design
With different materials - like reinforced concrete, steel or wood - we create together with the architect a wing unit, which corresponds both to technical as well as sesign defaults. A functioning interrelation between architects and engineers is called: Reconciliation and balance of the forces. The construction does not determine the architecture, and neither does the optimal architecture determine the construction. The challenge is in working together with the architect in the creation phase on the technical conversion „… the formal language of the architect must be converted into our optimal engineering material“.
For example at the Fachhochschule Eisenstadt the large overhang and the dynamic form of the architectural design could be created by means of steel as optimal material. About the e timber elements at the metallic external facade: that is how the innovative touch of an ultramodern educational facility is added.
