Project description

The sports complex opened on 3rd September 2011 has a main pitch and a training pitch which are equipped with floodlights and are suitable for competitive matches.
A building has been erected between these fields with the changing rooms located in the basement.
The ground floor comprises the public area with canteen and WC. The spectator stand is situated in front of the building complex and has a capacity of around 500.

The main focus during the construction of this complex centred upon the ecological footprint of the different areas. Thus the complex is heated  - the emphasis being on renewable energy – by a pellet stove. Hot water supply is guaranteed by the use of a passive energy source (solar panels) – the pitches are watered via boreholes. Energy is saved on air conditioning in the building through energy recovery ventilation.
